The Retreat Experience

Volunteer Services

Since 1877, Retreat Hospital has been caring for those in the community. Now you can, too. If you have the desire to help, we have a place for you. Not only will you make a difference in someone else’s life, you’ll start to notice the difference volunteering will make in yours.

To become a volunteer, click here to download a form. All applicants are required to fill out a written application and have a formal interview with the Director of Volunteer Services. After acceptance, new volunteers participate in an orientation and on-the-job training with a veteran volunteer. Volunteers are asked to work approximately four hours per week.

The shifts are:

  • 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM
  • 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM
  • 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Retreat also has a Junior Volunteer program for young adults ages fourteen to seventeen. To become a Junior Volunteer, click here. Currently, we have numerous students from local colleges and universities who participate in our Volunteer program. No matter your age, Retreat invites you to join to ranks of the giving. Turn your spare time into care time!
